Summit is an online, student-run publication that showcases and celebrates the work and lives of University of Mary students.

The Summit Staff
Nicholas Waddell
is a freshman studying Communications and Politics and is also one of the managing editors of Summit. In his free time he enjoys reading, learning and debating people. He hopes to grow Summit into a vibrant platform for student expression.


Chancellor Myers is a senior at University of Mary, he will be graduating this summer with a degree in Public Relations! He hopes to go into ministry and work with non profit organizations when he is finished with college. When Chancellor isn’t in class or working, he is on adventures with his friends or is busy planning his wedding that is coming up this summer!

Lexxie Whittey is a poetry writer and copy editor for Summit. She is a sophomore Public Relations major. She enjoys music, reading, Instagram (follow her @svmply.rae), and tea.


Katherine Pustejovsky
is a Senior Business Communication Major at the University of Mary. She is working as the copy editor at the Summit. In her free time, she often plays soccer and loves to swing dance.



Haylie Flesness

Michael Feist
is a junior University of Mary Student, who’s majoring in Mass Communications. He is a writer, photographer, and content creator for the Summit. In his free time, Michael enjoys doing photography and drawing.



Rachel Riedel
is a freshman double majoring in Mathematics Education and Spanish and a member of the UMary swim team.  Though she’s not sure what she wants to do with her life, she hopes to have time to write books, preferably in a secluded cabin in the woods with ten cats. She currently writes and helps edit submissions for the Summit to work on her writing and improve her social life.
